I thought it was not, but it is listed under tour events:

  5. It looks like this will be a very strong event! I am sure Derek Sachs and Rachel Ulrich will play and hopefully more strong players appear.

  7. The WCA website is presently incorrect and will be revised shortly. The Northeastern is not a tour event this year.

  8. Why isn't it a tour event?

  9. An event is only a tour event if the organizer of an event makes a request to the WCA that the tournament be considered as a tour event. The WCA then will either approve or deny that request based on whether or not the tournament meets the requirements of a tour event. In this particular tournament, the organizer did not make a request for tour status.

  14. Yes, how about some results??

  15. There was one player who claimed to be a former USCF member, but could not be found on MSA or in any USCF records. That had to be resolved before the tournament could be submitted, and that's why there was a delay in the results showing up online.

  16. Congratulations to Thomas Ulrich and Derek Paitrick for winning the 49th Northeastern Open. In the Reserve the winners were Morris Tirimacco, Jeff Daven, and David Lutzewitz. Also a three way tie in the Novice section between Adam Cox, Jason Hegelmeyer, and Craig Nielsen. Congratulations to all the winners!
