PLAYING SITE: Shorewood Hills Elementary School, 1105 Shorewood Blvd, Madison WI 53705
 
SECTIONS: Open section is open to everyone (must be a US Chess member as this is a rated event). Scholastic section is open to K-12 players and is very beginner-friendly (not rated).
 
ROUNDS: everyone plays four games, there is no elimination. Time control is 30 minutes (with 5 sec delay) per game for each player. Late registration and check-in is at 9:00-9:30am. Rounds are at 10am, 11:30am, 1:15pm, and 2:30pm. Award ceremony is shortly after 3:30pm
 
PRIZES: Open section offers $600 in cash prizes (based on 30 participants). Scholastic section offers 20 individual trophies and 5 team trophies. All winners are recognized as State Champions.

QUICK CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP is held in two sections: Open (open to all, rated) and Scholastic (K-12 player, not rated). Time control is 25 minutes (+3 second delay) per player, everyone plays 4 games.

Notation is not required. On-site registration is 9:00-9:30am. Round times: 10am, 11am, 12:45pm, 2pm.

Prizes Open: $900 (b/60 or proportional): 1st $250, 2nd $150, class prizes (5-8 players per class): $500 Prizes Scholastic: team trophies to top five schools and 20 individual trophies based on age.

Entry Fee: Open $25, Scholastic $20 if entered by January 17th ($10 more afterwards)
