In the game regarding the Bird's opening, it looks like white's 6th move leaves the book variations. However, 6.h3 does not look like the best move here.

In my game with Ivan, I found the move 6...Ne4 with the threat of Bh4+, which seems very strong for black. Now, why could I not have found that over the board?!
