We plan to start promptly at 7:00 p.m. Registration is 6:20-6:50 p.m. Since this is a quad (round-robin) it is important that players be present for all three rounds if at all possible. Also, seeing as this is a quad, chess players will in all likelihood be playing others close to them in rating! There are no byes available. The September Supplement will be used for ratings.

If you want to play but anticipate being a few minutes late the first evening, please e-mail myself (robin.grochowski@quarles.com) or call me 414-861-2745 prior to 4:30 p.m. on September 1, so I can include you in the pairings. My phone does not get reception in the Village basement, so therefore if I do not hear from you by 4:30 p.m., and you are late getting to the tournament, you will not be entered into the quad.

Hope to see everybody on Thursday.

EXTRA: “David’s Best Game Prize” There will be a $5.00 "Best Game" prize for the Shorter Shadow Days Quad tournament, which will be awarded by David Dathe. This prize will be awarded for the most interesting game played in the tournament. Mr. Dathe will be the judge of any games submitted. All tournament players are encouraged to submit a game. Please submit the game to the TD. The game needs to be legible (readable) so the game can be properly analyzed. All games need to be turned in by the end of the tournament.
