April 30 - "Slow Blitz" event in 2 sections (Game 8 + 3 seconds); Open & Reserve
this Thursday (April 30) we
are once again having a "SLOW BLITZ" event, this time in TWO
Sections. We start promptly at 7:00 pm Thursday night.
Time control is 8+3 (8 minutes, with 3-second increment), with 6 rounds. The event should take roughly two hours (7:00-9:00 pm).
With the two sections, there are no restrictions. The idea is that players with USCF ratings <=1600 play in the Reserve Section, while anyone can join the Open Section.

The Southwest Chess Club will begin hosting online events, starting this Thursday.
This Thursday at 7:00 pm we will hold a 2-round Game/30 minutes (with 5-second increment) event.
