It is time for Southwest Chess Club's annual year end party.  Drop by between 6:30 and 10 pm for food, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.  Food from many countries often finds its way to this gathering, so be willing to try new things.  Bring a dessert or dish to pass if you want.  Plenty of casual chess.  All ages welcome.

A group of chess enthusiasts had checked into a hotel, and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse.
"But why?" they asked, as they moved off.
"Because," he said, "I can't stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer."
