I don't suppose there's a list of pre entries for this is there?
So far I have not seen one. If I get one, I will post it.
i'll be playing at the winter open if there is less than 6 inches of snow on the ground with a 30 to 1 water ratio. guy hoffman i hope you're reading this because i'm expecting the $5 discount because i let you know ahead of time
What time is on-site registration?
On site registration is 9am to 9;30am with round #1 starting at 10am.
Thanks
After Round One SWCC has 9.5 out of 10...
I stink! 9.5 out of ten, huh? Thanks for rubbing it in!(LOL) Turns out I agreed to the draw in a won position but I just didn't see how to do it. Oh well, I have to start practicing.
That's alright John, I wound up losing to a player rated 300 points lower than me. I made some sloppy moves, she made some sloppy moves, and the last blunder was mine...
Now that's a good club teammate, sacrifice a game just to let me feel better! :) It dawned on me though, that my results have been in the crapper ever since smoking was banned at the tournaments. That was always a good way to throw the little ten year old geniuses off their game! :o
Yeah, just til they light one up and blow it right back at ya...
Wait...who is the genius?
I'm certainly not. I didn't even learn the moves until I was 14.

With 10 players in this event, the Southwest Chess Club accounted for approximately 15% of of the participants. Amazingly, none of us had to play against each other in any of the 5 rounds. This club travels well.
Congratulations to Vijay Raghavan, Aaron Jing, and Jim Kinsman for winning the tournament!
Man, Jon really blew this one.
