This is one of the oldest tournaments in Wisconsin. IM Bill Martz passed away at the age of 37. The traveling trophy is one of the most coveted ones!

It is sad that more Wisconsin chess players did not come to this event. This is a yearly event, and one of the longer (6 rounds) tournaments in the state. It is held every Thanksgiving weekend (Fri-Sun), so I hope more players can plan ahead to come next year.
