SCHEDULE: everyone
plays four games, there is no elimination (you can skip some games if needed). Late registration is 9:00-9:30am. Round times: 10:00am, 11:15am, 12:45pm, 2:00pm. Award ceremony begins shortly after the last round.
K-12 SECTION: K-12
students are eligible. This is a very beginner-friendly event,
so new players are encouraged to participate. Experienced tournament
players may want to consider the Open section. Time control is 30
minutes (and 5 second delay)
per player per game. This event is not rated. PRIZES: 25 individual trophies based on age and 5 team trophies. Every participant receives chocolate at the closing ceremony.
OPEN SECTION: open
to everyone, need to be a current US Chess member. This event is Quick
rated, but regular ratings will be used for pairings and prizes. Time
control is 25 minutes (and 3 second increment) per player per game. PRIZES: trophies
to top three places and additional class trophies based on rating.
ENTRY: $25
by November 9th, $30 by November 14th, $40
afterwards. Please include player’s name (for scholastic section: also
include grade and school) as well as contact email and phone number. PayPal (preferred):
