This should be a good tournament. I would rather this be the 2-day format with the longer time controls as in past years; however, it is not possible in this location due to hours of operation, etc. The 1-day format does save money on hotels and food. Players who I know are going so far include myself, Andrew, Nolan Hendrickson, and Jim Coons. Perhaps the organizers will post the complete pre-entry list. But if anybody else is going post to the Blog. The weather is supposed to be nice on Saturday -- no snow!! See everybody in Madison on Saturday.
Congratulations to David Jin for winning this event with a 4-0 score.
It was a nice turnout of about 60 players.
I ended up with four draws!
Congrats also to the new class A player Andrew. On to Expert!
Thank You, It was a really great tournament, and I was able to beat a Brazilian Fide Expert the first round!!
